We hope everyone enjoyed Running Club Formal last night! Here are this week’s schedule and some announcements:
Week Ahead in Running Club
**All runs start and end at the bear statue outside the Nelson Fitness Center. Come early to stretch and put your belongings in the locker rooms (in the Nelson basement)**
Mon 4/22: #MoveMeMonday Challenge (see below) at 4:15 pm
Tue 4/23 – Thu 4/25: Regular run at 4:15 pm
Fri 4/26: Fun Sock Friday! Wear your favorite funky socks! (regular run at 4:15 pm)
Sat 4/27 – Sun 4/28: Regular run at 10 am
Every Monday this spring, Running Club will be participating in the #MoveMeMonday challenge created by the Linda W. Daniel Foundation (LWDF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting cancer. Every mile you run will raise $1 to support select cancer organizations. All you have to do is comment on our Instagram post every Monday evening and tell us how many miles you ran that day. If you are interested in racing with us (including road races!) or want to receive our training plans and workout ideas, make sure to sign up for the competitive team here! People who have signed up for the competitive team will receive a weekly email about training and racing, so if you think you might be interested, it’s a good idea to sign up.
Providence Rhode Races:
The Providence Rhode Races are on May 5th this year. There’s a 5k, half marathon, or full marathon option. You can register here using code 2019BrownRC for a discount. Make sure to join the Brown Running Club team!
