Week Ahead in Running Club
All runs start and end at the Bear Statue outside the Nelson Fitness Center. Come early to stretch and put your belongings in the locker rooms (in the Nelson basement)

Monday – Friday, 11/12 – 11/16: Regular club run at 4:15 pm
Friday, 11/16: The 3rd BRC HTCB Mile at 9 pm (details below)
Saturday, 11/17: Regular club run at 10 am – because nothing like a morning shake-out run to soothe your stomach 12 hours later!
Sunday, 11/18: Long run at 10 am
A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our team at Nationals! Despite freezing temperatures and a slick, muddy and hilly course in Lexington, Kentucky, members on both the men’s and women’s teams finished the Fall XC season with some fast times and placed 30th and 22nd out of all the teams in the country.
Do you use Strava? If you haven’t, you’ve at least heard Caroline or Adam mention it every time you see one of them. This week, BRC is hosting exSTRAVAganza – our first ever Strava art competition! Use your watch or smartphone app and your own two legs (or bike) to create your own masterpieces.
We recommend that you use Strava’s route creator to plan your artistic run. Runners may pair up into groups of 2 for this competition. To enter, upload your run to Strava and tag Caroline or Adam in the comments and use #exSTRAVAganza, or email a screenshot of your run to either leader. The contest starts tomorrow and ends Sunday 11/18. There will be prizes in multiple categories, including best overall, most accurate tasteless art, and probably others.
HTCB Mile III
How fast can YOU run a mile while drinking a Hard-To-Chug-Beverage? This Friday at 9 pm is your chance to find out! Meet at the Bear Statue to run, or come to spectate and watch disaster unfold before your very eyes!
