Hope you had a great break! This email will cover this week’s schedule, information for the competitive team, signups for an indoor track meet this Saturday, and a signup form for a long run at Arcadia this Sunday.
Week Ahead in Running Club
Looks like great weather this week: come enjoy it while it lasts 🙂
Now that the sun is setting when practice starts, make sure to wear bright/reflective clothing if possible!
Mon 11/27-Fri 12/1: Regular club runs at 4:15pm
Tues 11/28: Sprint team workout, meet at 7:30pm in the OMAC lobby.
Sat 12/2: Competitive team track workout and regular club run at 10am, or Alden Invite
Sun 12/3: Regular club run at 10am, or long run at ~Arcadia~
Arcadia Long Run
We’ll have a regular long run on Sunday 12/3 at 10am at the usual place, but for those interested in getting out of town, we’ll also have a group meeting at 9:30am and heading out to Arcadia Park (25ish minutes away) to get in our long run on dirt roads/trails. Fill out this google form by the end of the day Friday if you’d like to come along so we can arrange transportation. Please fill out this form only if you’re sure that you can come.
Brown’s varsity team is hosting a home meet this Saturday 12/2 in the OMAC. If you’re interested in racing, please email Alec (firstname.lastname@example.org) immediately with your race preferences and seed times. Here’s the meet info. This race is free for all running club members but we cannot guarantee entry.
This is our first full week back into training. We’ll have a tempo run on either Tuesday or Thursday, a track workout on Saturday, and a long run on Sunday. Stay tuned for information about indoor track workouts starting soon for those interested in racing this indoor season.

Sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers (or those who just want to try out these events) are invited to our weekly organized training sessions under the guidance of our sprints captain, Amy! Practice is at 7:30 pm on Tuesday at the OMAC. Weekly workout plans for sprinters can also be found in our facebook group and website. Bring yourself and your sprint curious friends.
